Make-up Session with my College Friends

Hello beauties! :)

I wonder how everyone celebrated their Independence day. :D 

Well, not literally spending the day at Emilio Aguinaldo's house :D but, of course, I am talking about being 'independent' from work or anything that's making you buzz all day. Some of you might spent the whole day with family, friends, bf/gf or maybe had a wonderful date with your dog. :D 

Asking me, well I don't have a dog. But I got to spend the whole day with the most adorable kid in the world. My son. :)

Lazying in bed while listening to the pouring rain outside the house was the best idea than going out to the mall yesterday. And yeah, surfing the net. :D

Facebook statuses yesterday was crazy. It's all about Independence. Independence from so-called 'Relationship'. :p

Yay! If you are one of them. :D 

As long as you're happy. Be. It's more healthy than keeping someone who gives a sack full of stress. Right? :D

Anyway,  weeks ago, I had two lovely visitors who knocked at my door and created chaos inside my room. :D They are my college friends who are surprisingly(or not at all :|), addictive to make-up too. 

They carried all their make-up stuff at our house to share thoughts regarding our addiction or should I say, interest. ;)

I know, I lied when I said "ALL", because obviously, it's not their complete set. Grrr.. I hate the fact that there's still more!!! :(((

I badly wanna see it, but hey, I'm sure there will always be another make-up session!

This religious gathering will not be complete without MAKE-OVERS!  :D

They were able to taste my epic lasagna. Say, something bad gilrs or no more make-overs! LOL

What a fun and crazy afternoon catching up and sharing thoughts with the same interest! It's good to see someone whom you've been everyday in school for years. I'm so glad the first session went well though I still need their hands on make-over. GRRRR... you girls still owe me ah! :D

My Girlfriend's After-Break-up-Make-up Look :D

"Isn't it sad when there's too much pain in your heart, and the only person you want to talk to and can make you stop crying is exactly the same person who made you cry?"

Duh. I know. That love quote sucks. Really! :D

Breaking up is hard but it can be a positive experience if you allow it to be. Remember that crying over someone and depression is NOT sexy! :D But when you think of it as a learning experience, you will grow, become stronger, and you will definitely look more attractive! :D Yep, been there, I think that explains who I am now wink* LOLS :P

But who the hell am I talking to anyways?!!  LOL :P 

Two of my girlfriends just had a bad break-up recently(makes me wonder if there's such a good thing in break-up :P). So being such a concerned gorgeous friend(which I really am :P), I found a perfect way to make these girls happy instead of committing themselves into suicide..  LOL (they're not gonna do that I swear :D) Enough of the break-up thing, alright? Let's do that make-up thingy! :D

Good thing I was able to convince my girls to give them some make-up make over. :D

Let me just give you some tips on how I did their eye make-up..

Meet my friend, Anah. She's wearing the "Dream Love Make-up". I'm inspired to do this look because I really find pink and purple eyeshadow very romantic and sexy while the hint of the shimmered sky blue on her lids calls for a calm evening. Her lips has a touch of rosy lipstick. :)

Now, here's Jhoana. She is wearing the "Dancing in the Moonlight" look. Again, I played with pink and purple tone on her lids and a hint of shimmered gray on her upper lid. With a hot pink lipstick, it makes her look more seductive yet playful.

   

For her second look, I used a shimmered turquoise eyeshadow on her lids. I also added black and shimmered gray on her outer lids and kinda smoked it out. It's more like a "sexy turquoise" look. I applied a hot pink lipstick on her lips as well.

Now, tell me who experienced a bad break-up?! LOL Don't worry girls, I'm not gonna tell your story. :P  I'm just happy to know that my make-up skill has somehow taken part of your moving-on process. :D We had so much fun in our make-up session so we didn't miss the chance to capture all the crazy moments.. :D

Zombie Make-up Tutorial: Zombabe! :D

I still can't believe that my first make-up tutorial here in my blog would start with a ZOMBIE look! LOL I was actually thinking before that I am going to do something like a sweet-romantic-on-a-date look or maybe more like dramatic make-up for night-outs. :D

Oh well, since we are now counting the days before the Halloween season, I guess it's now time to take-off that pretty face of yours and turn it to a most haunting and horrifying creature(or whatever you want to portray :D) on earth! LOL

like her.. a ZOMBABE :p

Zombies are classic. They are the timeless characters that you wanna watch over and over in a t.v series or in a movie. And tell me who is not guilty of playing it on a computer game. :p Those maybe some of reasons why I chose to recreate my own version of the living dead. Of course, to make it not so boring, I made it seductive, sexy and kinda lustful before eyes.. LMAO She's definitely not the old and boring type of zombie who just eat flesh around and gets a headshot. :D She's definitely hot and loves to play(before grabbing you for dinner bwahaha :D)

Now, let's start!

FOUNDATION

STEP 1: Get a lighter foundation and a baby powder. Blend the powder and your regular foundation on your palm. The warmth of your palm will help your foundation to blend easily with the powder. Apply evenly on your face and wherever your skin is exposing. You don't have to be flawless. Your skin should look rough and dusty that's why we mixed the baby powder with the foundation. I'm skipping the concealer. I want all my imperfections on my face this time. :D

Materials used:  Johnson's baby powder, Maybelline Clear smooth minerals, Clinique perfectly real make-up

THE MAKING OF ARTIFICIAL WOUNDS

Step 2: In making the artificial wounds, I used a baby powder and a paper glue (much better if you use a lash glue). Squeeze the powder twice or so (it depends on how many wounds you are going to create) and pour a little bit of glue in a small container. Your glue should be enough to absorb the powder. Blend it well using a toothpick and apply it on your face using the same stick. Try to be creative in making wounds. Make a small and big spots at the center of your wounds and leave it untouched. Wait until it dries.


Materials used: Johnson's baby powder, Prince Brand Clear Glue

EYESHADOW

Step 3: While waiting for your artificial wounds to dry, start now with your eyeshadow. First, lightly dab the navy blue eyeshadow on your face or wherever part you want to zombify your skin. :D Then, lightly strike the navy blue shadow with a red brown eyeshadow. This will create an illusion of bruises. Anyways, you may now notice my hairband. I wore it because my hair was messing up with the glue on my face. LOL :D

Materials used: Ever Bilena Cosmetics Collection Set-A, Careline Eyeshadow & Blusher

Step 4: With the red brown eyeshadow, apply it around the perimeter of your eyes. Gently blend it in a circular motion.

Materials used: Careline Eyeshadow & Blusher

Step 5: With your darkest brown eyeshadow, apply it as well around the circle of your eyes. Keep the red brown shadow peaking. In my case, I use a coffee color to substitute my dark brown shadow.

Materials used: Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit

Step 6: Using your darkest black eyeshadow, apply it on your eyelids as well as underneath your eyes. To get the color more intense, I wet my brush before  dabbing it on my eyeshadow.

LIPS

Step 7: I swear I didn't paid so much attention on my lips. I just wanted it to look it creepy yet sexy. LOL Apply the black pencil liner on your inner lips. Also, apply the dark pink lipstick to create a gothic look. Cover it with a lipgloss.

Materials used: Nichido Girls Night-out Blackest Black 01, Ever Bilena Cosmetic Collection Set-A, Wet n' Wild Lipgloss

GOING BACK TO ARTIFICIAL WOUNDS..

Step 8: By this time, your artificial wounds are already dry(if not, try drying it in front of your e-fan, it works for me :D). Wet your brush, gently dab it on your black eyeshadow and apply it on your artificial wounds. If you used a black glue, you may want to skip this step. :)

Materials used: Ever Bilena Eyehadow Cleo

Step 9: With your light brown eyeshadow or a tan shade, use your finger to dab it on top of the black shadow. The color becomes more pigmented if you are using your finger instead of brush in applying eyeshadows. 

Material used: Careline Eyeshadow & Blusher

Step 10: Finally, you may now shade all the spots that we left untouched earlier with a dark brown pencil liner. And using the dark pink lipstick(use something like a bloodshot color), the one I also used on my lips earlier, get the color using your lip brush, pour a little bit of lipgloss and dip it on the spots of your artificial wound. Lip brush is more easier to use because you can shade the smaller spots. :)

When you're done, wear your sexiest dress and don't forget your red stiletto. Dress to kill babe! Rawr! :))

REVIEW : Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit

Hello ladies! :)

If you have read my last haul, I included Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit in my shopping bag. And after using it for a couple of times, I've decided to share my review now to give you some info that may help you ( i wish :p ), in case you are planning to buy an eyebrow kit or if you are eyeing to get this particular product. ;)

so this is how it looks like,

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The eyebrow liner is in compact mirror. It has a mini angle brush and also a mini tweezer. It comes out in a square plastic brownish box and at the back of it, it says, Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit contains two shades of easy to blend compact powder, mini tweezer and eyebrow/liner brush. Color, shape & define your brows with 2 complimentary shades of powder in 1 kit.

DIRECTION (to use): Use flat end of brush to apply brow powder. Apply dry to make brows look natural or wet for dramatic look. For eyeliner, apply to lash base. Softly follow the curve of your eyes for a perfect look. 

I've already use this product ( twice :D ) two days before doing this review. And for the sake of this review, I took some photos for you to see how it looks like while wearing it. ;)

Hello to my no make-up eyebrow look :D

As you can see, my brows aren't that thick but somehow,  it is growing in the right place. :p (I dunno but I would always hear that from beauticians whenever I go to the salon. lol Anyways, most of the time, I just wear a thinner line on my brows and not as dramatic as seen in this pictures. :D Here, I just followed the shape of my brows.

Pros :

*the color blends easily.

*the color is quiet flexible; when you apply it dry, it leaves a soft finish; when you apply it wet, the color goes a bit intense, which is good because it could easily compliment on any type of skin tone and hair color. 

*it works good as an eyeliner ( I used it on my pics above ).

*it can also use as a substitute for dark brown matte eyeshadow ( I used it on my pics above ). :D

*it does not grease easily (in case your sweat is running on your face)

*can also use for contouring ( also, I used it on my pics above )

*natural finish

*the price is ok. P238.00 @Watsons

Cons :

*the mini tweezer and angle brush are lame. The tweezer is really hard to use while the brush is too weak.

*it's a bit powdery. If it mess up in palette, it will surely ruin the shades.

TIPS: In choosing the right shade for eyebrow; if you're blonde go to two shades darker than your hair color; brunettes should go one to two shades lighter; and if you're a redhead,picking the right intensity and tone is key. If you're blessed with raven-toned locks, however, a coordinating deep black eyebrow product can not only look too severe, but can add a starkness to the complexion as well. Instead, dark-haired beauties, smoke up. Think shades of charcoal, soft black, gray, almost black, and even mahogany, deep taupe, or dark brown. (from bellasugar beauty tips)

So, What did I missed? :D  It's been two weeks since I last posted here in my blog and I feel like I owe you girls a lot. :D I gotta blame the pictorial in Ever Bilena for my buzzing sched. LOL

Pretty Pink and Gold Bangles

 Wish Nail Polishes Beach Babe

The shades that I got are baby blue, hot pink, and ube shake. :D  The nail brush and flower designed finger/toe separator thing is really really cute. I found the colors so pretty so I decided to buy a set. ( P69.00 @Watsons)

Marionnaud Angle Brush N38

It's my first time to try one of their brushes and since I don't have this type of brush in my make-up kit yet, I decided to get this particular brush. It's called N38 Slanted Eyeline and Eyebrow double side brush. What I love about this is the tiny brush which is perfect for the eyeliner and correcting eyebrows. ( P56.00 @Watsons )

False Eyelashes

Can you believe that this very cheap pair of false lashes can be found in a local grocery store? Yes. Surprisingly, it is more cheaper than the one I found in a local store nearby our house which costs P35. :D ( P24.95 @Robinsons  grocery store )

 

Ever Bilena Pro Flawless Finish Foundation

I remember when I was asked by the marketing manager of Ever Bilena about my favorite among their product lines. I said "I'm inlove with the liquid foundation pro flawless". :D 

The funny and amazing thing about this product was I hadn't read the labels or the desription written on it's box yet, but then I told the marketing manager (and I also kept telling my friends) that I'm in love with the liquid foundation *sshhh* :D The crazy truth behind was, as soon as I bought the item, I would instantly throw the box where the bottle comes out and just proceed using it (I dunno what made me feel like always-in-a-hurry back in college days or maybe I was just too excited whenever I get new stuff :p) and when it works perfectly on my skin, then I would definitely repurchase another one. 

The amazing part is when I finally read the product's labels/description after using it for almost two years! :D Then I only have two words to say: SO. TRUE. :) ( P165.00 @Watsons )

Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit
Aside from it's gorgeous shades which are so perfect for my thin eyebrows :D and very cute mini tweezer, the ultimate reason why I actually bought this kit was because I found the deep matte brown so perfect for contouring purposes. How multifunctional is that?! So awesome, right? It's a compact powder that is so easy to blend on your face. I really can't wait to use this. :) ( P238.00 @Watsons)

HENGFANG Pure Witchery Dip Liner

As you ladies know, I've been quiet experimental when it comes to eyeliner looks. It was my first time to see this eyeliner at the store and I instantly got captivated by the design. It looks like a witch potion which I found really cute. :D I actually didn't noticed the pencil liner(the one you see on the left). But what I noticed first is the liquid liner(the one you see on the right) which is most likely made of a hard pointed material and not a brush. I've been quiet used to on working with an eyeliner brush and not this one although this one is good when you want to extend your eye lining on the corner of your eyes. You can easily work your hand with this particular liner.

The only thing that disappoints me with this product is the alcohol smell in the liquid liner part. Although it doesn't hurt my eyes whenever I apply it, the alcohol smell is way disturbing. :( I wonder how much percent of alcohol do they have to use for this product. :/ ( P57.95 @Robinsons grocery store )

So there, beauties. Another cheap buys that can somehow make you pretty! :) Btw, have you tried any of these products? How did it work on you?  :)

My 7-Day Liquid Eyeliner Challenge!

Ok, I know! Liquid eyeliner is not that easy to apply specially if you have shaky hands like mine. :D The thing is, I live with an old saying which is "Practice Makes Perfect" (though the silly part in me says, "Nobody's perfect, so why should I practice! LOL). But kidding aside, if you really want something badly, the impossible is really impossible if you start doing something to achieve it. It may take a while but practice is one way to perfection (i'm not saying that I perfected it already, I guess i'm still in the process). If your hands, are shaky, deal with it, and not against it.

Let me tell you that this is not really a tutorial. I remember, way back in college when I started using liquid eyeliner, nobody really taught me how to use it. I just found it so cute in my eyes! LOL. So from there, I practiced day and night. :D And Boom! Gorgeous eyes everyday! :p I just wanna show you girls some of the strokes of liquid eyeliners that you might enjoy doing! Whether you are in a party, office, clubbing, home or even on top of the mountain you can still be pretty with this effin liquid eyeliner.

TIP : try creating a smaller lines, this will help you control the thick and thinness of the lines. Also, by doing this, it will help you make fewer mistakes. Use a cotton swab if ever you make any mistakes. Just dip it on a baby oil or a petroleum jelly (or use your fav make-up remover) so that the make up can easily go with the cotton swab.

Bestfriend's Delight!

Ever Bilena Cosmetics had recently release a promo for all the Bestfriends on earth which they called 'the Bestfriend's delight!" I got really excited because of the prizes so I texted my bestfriend (who also happened to be my best sister :p) right after and asked her if she would like to join the contest with me.
