Have you ever experienced that wasted feeling after spending long hours in front of your computer? Well, aside from hurtful eyes, your face looks restless, right? Computer screen radiation can affect the emergence of fine lines on the face, thus it leads to premature aging.
Hmm.. not only sitting in front of computer can cause this problem. Stress, pollution, unhealthy diet and yes, even your lunatic boyfriend can totally lowdown your beauty-o-meter. :D
This has been a battle for me when I started working years ago. I've tried using facial mask which I used to buy at beauty stores but then I realized, what if I just do my own masks since it became a need for me (for me, a piece of cotton wasn't reasonable enough for P50-P100 for 5 usage). I was thinking so hard on what to use for my Do It Yourself facial mask until one day, my cousin who works in Chowking fast food brought me a beverage from their store which they called, Nai Cha (milk-tea). This drink has tea, milk, ice, black gulaman, water, and sugar.
I really liked it and became addicted to it that I would even do my own Nai cha at home. :D Then I realized that the used tea bag can also be use for my beauty ritual. And who will forget the milk! ;)
On the other hand, milk contains a lactic acid, a gentle exfoliant and is a good source of vitamins A and D which acts as an exfoliator to strip the skin of dead cells and leave it soft and silky smooth.
Let's start! First, get all the stuff that you need. =)
TEA - you can also use used tea if you want. Just make sure you use it only once because you don't want to miss any of it's goodness on your skin.
Cup - A small one will do.
MILK - I got fresh milk.
COTTON - Make sure it's enough to cover your entire face.
VITAMIN E - when it's added to lotions, creams, and other skin care products, as well as taken orally, plays a role in the anti-aging of skin. It helps skin look younger by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Also, free radicals are believed to play an important role in skin aging and therefore the antioxidant activity is quite valuable for this skin problem. In this case, one capsule should be enough.
Now that we got all we need, let's proceed to facial mask making!
STEP 1 : Get your cup with a warm water and pour the green tea.
STEP 2 : Add the milk and stir.
STEP 3 : Add the vitamin E. You may also cut it and just let the fluid come out so it would easily blend with the tea and milk. Stir it again.
STEP 4 : Stir it beybeh! :D
STEP 5 : Leave it in fridge for 15-20 mins. It should be a bit frozen because it will make your skin more refreshed and it will also minimize the large pores on your face.
STEP 6 : While waiting for your milk tea, cleanse your face with your favorite facial wash.
STEP 7 : Your milk-tea should be ready by now. You may now blend the cotton in the cup. Make sure that the cotton will fully absorb the milk-tea.
STEP 8 : Now is the fun part, the peeling game! Gently peel the cotton and apply it on your forehead, cheeks, chin, nose, well pretty much all over your face. :D
Make a hole in one pad of cotton which is enough to put on top of your mouth area.
You know you're done when you already look like a mummy. LOL! 10-15 mins with this mask on your face should be enough. ;)
Now, you're done! Good luck!
Oh, by the way, when you're done on your face, you can also use the mask for your body. Enjoy! :)
I tried this before.. I used to drink a lot of tea when I was in college. After I finished the tea, I tear the bag and i get the leaves and apply it straight to my face. it leaves my skin silky smooth. i think I'm gonna try this again.. Hehe
ReplyDeleteako naman, back when i was in college, hindi ako masyadong skin conscious, but when i started working, yung skin ko laging stressed that's why i became DIY obsessed. This is definitely a must try! kahit sa bahay lang. nakaka relax :)
