Pretty Pink Make-up Set Review

Woah. I was stunned by the new look of dashboard! :D

Oh well, if you're a blogger in this site, you'd definitely know what I am talking about. Wew. It feels weirdo but anyway, thank goddesses of beauty, because I'm back to blogging! Yay! :D

So since I've posted -- and yeh, promised that I would blog about my new make-up set, here, take it. . . . with a hot coffee dear. . . :D

Can you imagine my face the time I received this? :D :D :D Yeh, that big smile! This was given to me as a gift by a very dear person. She knows that I am really into make-up now, and thinks that I could use them on my make-up gigs and to my own make-up tutorials. How thoughtful is that! Thank you! Thank you! And thank you, Tita!  :)

I still can't believe she carried this stuff all the way from London to PI. Seriously. It's a bit heavy and huge. It could occupy a whole luggage bag. I swear! haha! Well aside from this, she also brought me other stuff. :| She's really one of the most wonderful and thoughtful person I've known.  :')

Alright. So what's up with the alphanumeric codes, Sushee? :p
Yeah. I was suppose to make color swatches when my camera died. Gave-up. For I dunno reason. :(

So there. This 4 layers are all from the left side of the make-up kit. All B's are blushers and bronzers. E's are eye shadows. I noticed that the colors on this side are more like dramatic or heavy. L's are all lipstick. L1 is a nude lip color. The two white colored tubes on the fourth layer are foundations. It has a light and dark colored foundations.

The codes from above applies also here except from the lower layer. It has a face powder and a puff that you could use to apply the face powder. I'm just a bit disappointed because the face powder is single, it means there is no other choice for any type of skin tone. :| Most of the eye shadow colors here are summery. I love it! :)

The make-up has no manual or tags. I got really confused of what's the use of what. :| Those 3 container glasses I think are eye shadows. The first time I thought was a lip gloss or something because it is a bit oily and has shimmer. But then I tried using it for the eyes as an eye shadow base and it works. So I guess I'll just use it that way. LOL!

Nail colors are soooooo pretty. The colors has shimmer which I really love. Couldn't describe more. :)

I'm sure you can see those lipsticks sitting on third layer. This is how they look like. Pretty. Say something about its color too! ;)

Swatches of lippies

Mascaras, pencil liners, brushes and applicators can be seen over there. :D It was really funny that I wasn't the first one to discover where it's located. My niece did! haha :D

Cases are plastics and detachable. You don't need to worry if you run out of everything. Just take it out of the layers then you can instantly replace them with other make-up stuff. Cool. ;)

Brushes, lip liners, and other applicators are standing beside the magic mirror!

My happy thoughts:

I think it costs around 3000php. It's a complete set. Reasonable enough.

Liquid foundations are amazing. It's matte. It blends on skin very well.

The eyeshadow colors are well pigmented. The lipstick are in good quality and I love the colors too.

Fragrance free.

My not-so-happy thoughts:

I wish they could provide a more useful brushes. I wish it's more soft and dense.  :D

I made a Bratz Doll Make-up Look using this Pretty Pink Make-up. Yep, she's real. Breathing like you! haha

Thanks for reading everyone! I believe it's now bedtime. So sleepy. Let me know what you think about this. Have you already use Pretty Pink Cosmetics? Comment freely.

REVIEW: Ever Bilena Cream Eyeshadow

Hello everyone!

How's your day goin so far?

The heat is killing me slowly these days here in Philippines. Argh.

Happy thoughts, anyways. :D This freaking heat won't stop me from going out and check out my fave stuff in the beauty world. (Agree if you also do. winks*)

Two weeks ago, I was thinking of buying a cream eyeshadow that I could use as a base for a more pigmented eye make-up look. So today, I'm going to give my happy and not-so-happy thoughts about Ever Bilena Cream Eyeshadow. If you are thinking of getting a cream eyeshadow, I hope this review can help you.

First, Take a look at the whole packaging..

I decided to get Sandra (set name). There are actually different color combinations to choose from but I believe that aqua and gold can create a youthful look on anyone. :)

Swatches

Now, It's time to review how it works! :)

My happy thoughts:

  • The colors are obviously well pigmented.

  • It can substitute your eyeliner.

  • 3 shades in 1. Affordable for only 95php.

  • It lasts LONG.

My not-so-happy thoughts:

  • The packaging sucks. It comes out with a three layered crappy containers with an applicator. I don't know how they call it but the head part of its container has no locking ring. It can easily slip off and mess up inside your bag or make-up storage.
  • And, yes! It slipped and the eyeshadow messed inside my bag because of it's crappy containers. Great. Grrr.
  • The long lasting effect annoys me a bit because it's really hard to remove. My ordinary make-up remover didn't work. Washing it with soap and water didn't work as well.  LOL! I prefer to use petroleum jelly in removing it.
  • It will give you a hard time in applying under a cold atmosphere because it gets hard and dries up so fast. It gets useless because you can't even take it out of the container. (Tip: Warm it first before applying.)

Repurchase?

Absolutely not.

Anyways, I was able to create two different looks using this cream eyeshadow..  ;)

Honestly, they have created perfect shades and pigmentation but I think they could phase this out and come out again with a more quality and good packaging cream eyeshadows.

Have you ever tried using cream eyeshadow as your make-up base? What did you use?
Share!

Thanks for reading! Stay gorgeous ya'll!  :)

REVIEW : Romantic Beauty Mascara (Glitter Mascara Review)

Hi everyone! :)

It's time to review the CHEAPEST yet GORGEOUS, glitter mascara I've ever found here on earth. :D

Come on, ladies! We are on our way to holiday season. Let's glitterfy not only the Christmas tree at home but also our lashes to get that glamorous and stunning look! winks*  ;)

Remember when I included this lovely mascara in my last haul, November's favorite? As you can see, I bought two shades of this glitter mascara. Silver and Gold.

See how it looks..

the brushes..

the pigmentation of colors..

Now, It's time to review how it works! :)

My happy thoughts:

It's very cheap. It only costs 57.95 @ Robinson's grocery store.

Sweet scented.

It has a very refined glitters which may not cause any irritation to eyes.

My eyes and skin didn't get irritation after using it as well as with my two friends.

Long lasting effect.

You can easily remove it by washing it out or using a make-up remover.

Fast drying. It doesn't flake or smudge.

My not-so-happy thoughts:

I hope the wand has more thicker bristles so it can coat fairly the lashes.

The packaging looks cheap. I think the lesser the flower thingy drawn on the package, the more classier.

Take a look at this vanity photos. With the help of my girlfriends, I was able to create a glam look using this mascara.

Snowy Smokey Eyes Make-up

Glamorous Green and Gold Make-up

Nevertheless, I am a happy and satisfied customer. I know it's crazy, but I am now planning to collect all the available colors and hopefully play with them again soon. I promise to post more about it.  :P

By the way, I'd like to thank my girlfriends, Jhoana and Anah for modelling for this review. Good job, ladies! :)

Have you ever used any glitter mascara? If yes, on what occasion did you wear it?

Thanks for reading, everyone! Stay gorgeous ya'll!  ;)

REVIEW : Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit

Hello ladies! :)

If you have read my last haul, I included Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit in my shopping bag. And after using it for a couple of times, I've decided to share my review now to give you some info that may help you ( i wish :p ), in case you are planning to buy an eyebrow kit or if you are eyeing to get this particular product. ;)

so this is how it looks like,

and the shades,

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: The eyebrow liner is in compact mirror. It has a mini angle brush and also a mini tweezer. It comes out in a square plastic brownish box and at the back of it, it says, Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit contains two shades of easy to blend compact powder, mini tweezer and eyebrow/liner brush. Color, shape & define your brows with 2 complimentary shades of powder in 1 kit.

DIRECTION (to use): Use flat end of brush to apply brow powder. Apply dry to make brows look natural or wet for dramatic look. For eyeliner, apply to lash base. Softly follow the curve of your eyes for a perfect look.

I've already use this product ( twice :D ) two days before doing this review. And for the sake of this review, I took some photos for you to see how it looks like while wearing it. ;)

Hello to my no make-up eyebrow look :D

My Eyebrows with the coffee shade ( this photo was taken nighttime )

My eyebrows with the black shade ( this photo was taken daytime )

As you can see, my brows aren't that thick but somehow,  it is growing in the right place. :p (I dunno but I would always hear that from beauticians whenever I go to the salon. lol Anyways, most of the time, I just wear a thinner line on my brows and not as dramatic as seen in this pictures. :D Here, I just followed the shape of my brows.

Pros :
*the color blends easily.

*the color is quiet flexible; when you apply it dry, it leaves a soft finish; when you apply it wet, the color goes a bit intense, which is good because it could easily compliment on any type of skin tone and hair color.

*it works good as an eyeliner ( I used it on my pics above ).

*it can also use as a substitute for dark brown matte eyeshadow ( I used it on my pics above ). :D

*it does not grease easily (in case your sweat is running on your face)

*can also use for contouring ( also, I used it on my pics above )

*natural finish

*the price is ok. P238.00 @Watsons

Cons :

*the mini tweezer and angle brush are lame. The tweezer is really hard to use while the brush is too weak.

*it's a bit powdery. If it mess up in palette, it will surely ruin the shades.

TIPS: In choosing the right shade for eyebrow; if you're blonde go to two shades darker than your hair color; brunettes should go one to two shades lighter; and if you're a redhead, picking the right intensity and tone is key. If you're blessed with raven-toned locks, however, a coordinating deep black eyebrow product can not only look too severe, but can add a starkness to the complexion as well. Instead, dark-haired beauties, smoke up. Think shades of charcoal, soft black, gray, almost black, and even mahogany, deep taupe, or dark brown. (from bellasugar beauty tips)

What about you? What do you use for your eyebrows? :)

MAYBELLINE CLEAR SMOOTH ALL IN ONE REVIEW

I went at Blue Wave Mall Marikina last Saturday to see if I could get a nice dress that I wish to wear this coming Cosmo Bachelor's Party/family night-out (still kinda torn between these events :p but needless to say, I'm very much excited :D). Of course, I'd never leave the mall without checking some good stuff in Watsons, my personal beauty store.

I spotted MAYBELLINE CLEAR SMOOTH ALL IN ONE shine free cake powder sitting on top of all foundation brands. I believe it was positioned there because of their promotional campaign. So right then, the beauty freak in me got really curious that I immediately tried all the displayed sample :D. It is packaged in two boxes. To open the product, you have to flip it up in the first box which I really find so cute :D, then you can open it like the usual thing in it's second box.

The powder is set inside a light pink compact with mirror which I also find so girly and it also has a square white sponge beside it. I rubbed each color in my arms til I finally saw the one that matches my skin tone. I got the color with a code 02 NUDE BEIGE.

the product description goes like this,
  • All day shine control - blend of water & sebum repellent powder keep skin matte and wonderfully fresh throughout the wear.
  • High UV Protection - SPF 25, among the highest in the sun protection shields from skin darkening and  PA + + for added protection.
  • Instant fairness - infused with pro Vitamin C it instantly makes skin look fairer and more natural
  • Imperfections blend away - ultra fine powders & coated pigments effortlessly cover spots for fair and even skin.
  • Long Lasting - breathable and lightweight, make up stays true & even throughout the wear
  • Visibly smooth complexion - silky soft texture glides to visibly even out skins surface for a smooth complexion.
  • Conceal blemishes - blemishes are instantly concealed traceless. Skin looks flawless.
  • Tone perfecting - developed for South East Asian tone, each shade blends effortlessly all over for a natural non cakey finish.
To prove all these amazing descriptions, I tried using it at home before wearing it outside or wherever place I wanna hang out.

no foundation look :p

blemishes (li'l bastards :p)

From the picture above, you can see that I only applied eye shadow and eyeliner. You can definitely see all the imperfections, right? Oily face, blemishes, eye maletas (my built-in eye bags argh!), and my sweaty skin on top of my mouth (i dunno what it's called :/ ). Anyways, let's see if these imperfections can really conceal by this product. Here are some proofs that you may wish to see. ;)

Photo 1 :

Photo 2 :

Photo 3 :

Photo 4 :

Photo 5 :

Surprisingly, it instantly concealed the blemishes and oiliness on my face. And, it also reduce my dark cirles! :D It has a finer finish and it really blends on my skin and pores. It doesn't have that cakey look like what I've experienced with Clear Smooth Minerals (which I haven't given my review yet) even if you based it with liquid foundation (in case you really want a more flawless look). I love the fact that it has UV protection and Vitamin C which will protects and nourishes the skin even if you are under make-up.

On the contrary, if you will use it in a humid weather, or if you are the kind of person whose job is outside the office (field worker), you may want to bring the compact with you in case you need to retouch  because the long lasting effect doesn't really lasts long for me. Take a look at Photo 4 (click the zoom button to see clearly), the skin above my lips still sweats :l ! LOL! :D

If you already use this product, you may share your insights here. :)

Ever Bilena EXTREME RED LIPSTICK Review

Long and rainy weekend was over. The good thing about long weekends I guess is that, you could spend enough time catching up with your family. Coffee consuming under the cold weather. Foodtripping. Laughing out loud with my cousin's green jokes (FYI, there are 3 gays that i know in my relatives so imagine whenever we get to see each other. It's like we're hanging out in a comedy bar). LOL! It was really a good time. How I wish I could make it more longer. :D

Another good thing happened was, me and my sister were able to shoot for Bestfriend's Delight promo. Good thing I was able to buy the Extreme Red Lipstick before the long weekend. I bought mine in Mercury Drug Store somewhere in Marikina.

I bought two different colors that I heart most. The Cranberry Cream and Romantic Red.

CRANBERRY CREAM

The color is more lighter than the romantic red. It's almost like a red pink. The fruity sweet smell is good because it didn't bother my nose while I'm wearing it. :D It's not matte but I'm surprise because it's not that glossy which is perfect whenever you feel like to eat or drink. I ate shawarma at the mall while wearing this on my lips and it didn't greased on my food and the color stayed on my lips even after I drink. What I love most about this, it's wearable in daytime and looks great in outdoors. Wearing a red lipstick on daytime and outdoor for me was a bit awkward, but this one is such a girly stuff which you can wear anytime.

ROMANTIC RED

I think the color of this one is perfect because it's not really a deep bloody red. Almost like a sweet cherry. It has a fruity sweet smell too which is not really bothering (I honestly hate lipstick that smells like a perfume. It changes my taste buds whenever I eat. ):) This is also wearable on daytime but I think the shimmer is really perfect if you see it at night. I believe this one can break a guy's neck :p. I tried wearing this last night and sleep with it and when I woke up in the morning, it's like I have a red tint on my lips. So cute. :D I didn't apply lip moisturizer today because this lipstick also makes my lips really smooth.

I bought the product in Mercury Drug Store for only P155 each. It's really cheap compared to the other brands yet it has competitive qualities. I think the longevity of this product can last for 3 or 4 hoursIt's really a great alternative lipstick if you can't afford the expensive one's.

There was only one thing that disappointed me.. :(

I don't know if I should call myself a Woman of Steel or a Lips made of Steel. LOL! It's not greasy but I guess It's just too soft. I would recommend to anyone who always uses any brand of lipstick to keep it in cold temperature. It would be better if you can keep it in your fridge so it would stick and won't cut off easily.

HAUL : What's in my eco Beauty Bag? :)

I was at SM Marikina yesterday to buy all the products that I've been using for my beauty regimen. I entered Watsons Personal Beauty Store. As soon as I got there, I picked-up the beauty basket and went straight ahead to the the beauty bars where the products that I wanted are usually located. Some product specialist approached me and was very accommodating. Of course, I knew that they wanted to sell their respective brands but  apparently all the beauty regimen that I'll be purchasing that day was already tattooed on my mind! LOL.

In the middle of the selling-blah-blah-blah, I just smiled back at them and told them that I already know what I wanted to buy so they don't have to bother much. Maybe I'm just not that type of customer who needs so much assistance when it comes to shopping. I trusts my own instinct. Girl's instinct. :p

I went to the cashier right after I got all the stuff that I needed. She punched all the items that I brought in the counter. Then she looked at me with a smile and said, "Ma'am, your bill is P982. Would you like to buy any of these products (pointing some products that are included on their promotion) because when you reach a purchase of P1000, you can get a freebie." I was like, Oh noes, this girl is on selling mode (which I think, not her job). But hell, I like freebies! :D So I just asked her plainly, as if I wasn't really interested, :p "What can I get if I buy one of those?" she said, "An eco bag." She showed me the freebie that I could get at that moment and I got really excited because it was really a cute one. But then my excitement turned into dismay because none of the products were actually belong in my beauty regimen.

this is the cute eco bag.. :(

Then I saw this Cream Silk Straight hair conditioner which was included on their lists and I thought of just buying it because I could use it for my DIY foot spa. Yes, it can be use as an alternative skin softener. If you have a dry skin cells or callous on your feet, just rub it on your entire feet and soak it in a bubble foot spa massager, or if you don't have any, a warm water in a wash tub will do the trick. ;)

Anyways, it was really fun that I bought the hair conditioner but not for the purpose to condition my hair. I honestly use that product before, but I  think it just doesn't matches my hair type. Using the product brought me an intense hairfall! And I got really scared. It was really haunting. I was like a cancer patient who was losing so much hair! LOL. But yeah, I dunno how it happened but I told my self that I will never ever use that product again. :D

Anyways, here are some of the products that are included in my beauty bag. And also, I added some short reviews that can help you choose the product that suits you . ;)

NIVEA EXTRA WHITENING CELL REPAIR PROTECT

This product is really a skin friendly for me. Unlike Nivea Whitening Milk, this one doesn't grease whenever I got my skin wet specially these rainy days. It has Vit C which is really good to reduce wrinkles and to improve skin texture. It smooths my skin perfectly and it really transformed my dark skin tone into a more natural lighter look.

KOJIESAN

This soap is an unbelievable skin whitener! We met since I was 19 and now that I'm 24.. still doing a good job! :D All the blemishes I had over my teenage year was gone unbelievably. It doesn't just whitens but it also dries up pimples and takes away all the pimple marks. Hence, if you got a dry skin on face or body, I would recommend you to use moisturizer after using this product. This is really a good stuff. I always recommend this to all my friends and good feed backs are all that I am receiving so far.

OLAY NATURAL WHITE LOTION with SPF 24

This one was a heaven-sent for me! :D It whitens my skin really really fast! I honestly can't go outdoors without applying this on my face and neck. I think they started selling the first trial of this product (which was packaged in a white bottle with a black cap) 4 years ago and right then I already began using it but  2 years later they faced it  out. Probably they just decided to come out with this more sophisticated look. This product moisturizes, takes away all the blemishes, redness, and it protects your skin from UV rays because it has SPF24.

YOKO WHITENING SPA SALT FOR ARMPIT AND BIKINI AREA

Although I can't actually read it's labels, but I must say that this product is one of the best spa salt ever. If you are aiming to get a whiter underarm or wish to whiten your bikini lines, then this is a must try! It doesn't dries up your skin unlike other whitening spa salt. Try using this before hitting the beach this coming summer! :)

CREAM SILK STANDOUT STRAIGHT CONDITIONER / LOREAL SMOOTH     INTENSE CARING SHAMPOO

I've already revealed the damage that was done by this hair conditioner. And until now, I'm still searching for the right one that will match the type of my long and rebonded hair. :( Anyway, I'm eyeing right now the Loreal's. This caring shampoo which I've been using for a couple of months deserves a good feedback. I didn't experience falling hair on this one. It's scent is like a sweet perfume and it really made my hair smoother. :)

NIVEA EXTRA WHITENING DEODORANT
I guess anyone will agree if I say that white and sweet smelling underarms are really a turn-on specially with the girls. :D Aside from the fact that it whitens underarms, it has a very long lasting effect. You can really enjoy the 24 hour fragrant without sweat in the entire day.

ST. IVES BRIGHTER SKIN APRICOT SCRUB

I started using this product for almost two years and it never fails to brighten my skin. The apricot scrub leaves my face really smooth. It's amazing how it erases all the blemishes on my face away. I use this product thrice a week and and doesn't dry my face. I just don't use it whenever I got a pimple or an open wound on my face because it may infect which can lead to a more serious damage.

So there. Those are the beauty products that I've been using religiously everyday and every week. :D I've been quiet loyal to these products for so long (except the hair conditioner :p) because of their consistency and effectivity. :D

That day was amazing because I can't believe I went shopping for less than 10mins. LMAO :D. It's really a time saver when you already know what you wanted.  ;)
